The Grand Loop

Topo Map Elevation Map

This 15.5 mile loop is the best way to see the Rancho Cuyamaca Park. Starting at the Visitor center you will get to see Green Valley. Take either the more difficult Soapstone or tree covered Stonewall trail to the large meadow at the south end of Lake Cuyamaca. After a climb up the Milk Grade you will take a pass by a natural spring and then be rewarded with a 5 mile downhill.

Mid-Peak Fireroad

This loop leaves the visitor center for an intermediate challenge. The ride is more challenging if you climb the soapstone grade, but is a fun ride in either direction.
