Lake Hodges is one of the best areas for people in San DiegoÕs North City to learn to ride. It has a wide variety of mostly beginner, or easy intermediate terrain. The trails at lake Hodges run from the eastern part of the North Shore trail, which is a wide and mostly easy utility road, to the twisting single track west of the Pierdas Pintadas Trail. Lake Hodges shares dual stewardship by both the City of San Diego's Water Utilities Department and the San Dieguito River Park. Most of the trails appear to be under the control of the park. |
