The Laguna Mountains are the eastern most of the mountains in eastern San Diego County. After the Lagunas the landscape drops dramatically down to the desert floor. They offer a nice cool ride for most of the year. The Lagunas offer pine covered forest and large meadows. The views from along the eastern ridge of the mountains are nothing short of spectacular, as you look down into the desert below. The main biking attraction of the Lagunas is the Big Laguna Trail. This is one of San Diego's best singletrack rides. This ride runs along the edge of Big Laguna Meadow and the forest surrounding it. The ride is relatively flat and great for all levels of riders. The other popular ride is Noble Canyon, Which will be covered separately.
