Located along the borders of Tierrasanta, Santee, La Mesa, and Miramar Naval Air Station, Mission Trails has miles of available trails for every level of rider. From the paved multi-use trail along Father Junipero Serra Trail, to the excruciating climb of The Alley, Mission Trails has it all. The majority of the trails in the park are fire roads, but there are a number of good single track runs available. Single track rides are available going up Scott and Oak Canyons. However, these trails eventually lead into Miramar, which is off limits. Like all San Diego areas, Mission Trails is rideable all year round. In the summer months it can get quite warm, so it may be better to ride in the morning or early evening.

Mission Trails has a full staff of park rangers as well as a volunteer patrol to assist you when you are using the park. Information about the park is available from the visitor center, by calling 619-668-3275, or from the park's web page at http://www.mtrp.org
