Most people ride Noble Canyon by dropping a car at the Pine Creek Trailhead and shuttling to the top at Penny Pines. If you really want to prove your meddle, ride the trail round trip. To get to the Pine Creek Trailhead, take Interstate 8 east to the Pine Valley exit. Turn North 1/4 mile and turn left on Old Highway 80. Follow Highway 80 1.2 miles to Pine Creek Rd. You will see the trailhead parking lot on the right. To the Penny Pines Trailhead, drive east on Interstate 8 to the Sunrise Highway exit (The next exit after Pine Valley). The exit has a sign for the noble Mountain Recreation Area. From the exit, go left over the freeway and follow the Sunrise Highway up into the mountains. You will pass through the community of Laguna and several nice camping areas. Follow the Sunrise Highway to the Penny Pines Trailhead. The parking lot is directly past a cattle grate. There are almost always cars parked here. The Noble Canyon and Big Laguna Trails start from here.
